Mueller and Bulger — 19 Comments

  1. I think there exists, on Netflix, a film about Whitey Bulger. I felt no attraction to the material. He sounded like a disgusting character, and such “true crime” features inevitably glorify the figure even if they go on and on about how evil the person is or was.

  2. I think there exists, on Netflix, a film about Whitey Bulger.

miklos: There’s “Black Mass” with Johnny Depp playing Bulger, which is a reasonable biopic. I liked it. Unlike much crime drama, it doesn’t glorify Bulger. It’s hard to feel sympathy with Bulger even while his child is having a medical emergency.

Then there’s Scorcese’s “The Departed,” in which Jack Nicholson chews up the scenery as an Irish crime boss incorporating elements of Bulger. Loads of fun.

  3. “Black Mass” is a book by two Boston Globe reporters about Whitey Bulger and the FBI scandal that was the basis of the movie. To give you an idea of how corrupt Massachusetts poltics was (is?) Whitey’s younger brother, Billy, was President of the MA Senate during Whitey’s killing spree, and everyone knew it. It gave him lots of leverage without directly threatening anyone.

Watch the press tap dance and mealy mouth the involvement of Muller in white washing the FBI framing of four innocent men for one of Whitey’s murders.

  4. J. Edgar Hoover back in the 1930s began a campaign of cooperation with Hollywood in order to glorify the FBI whilst that agency only took on secret police activities beyond public scrutiny and “fought crime” only in high profile cases in which the success rate for law enforcement is generally very high.

The pro-FBI propaganda meanwhile has never ceased.

  5. “Look, [Mueller’s] the guy who kept four innocent people in prison for many years in order to protect the cover of Whitey Bulger as an FBI informer.”

I remember learning in junior high (middle school) that the rationale behind “innocent until proven guilty” and “beyond reasonable doubt” was based in the assertion that it is better that a guilty man go free than that an innocent man lose his freedom.

Clearly, Mueller does not subscribe to that proposition. Upon what basis does he then claim to act as a representative of the American legal system?

Yup. To Mitt Romney’s credit, he made Billy Bulger resign from his position as President of UMass because he was less than candid regarding his phone contacts with his criminal brother.

The Daily Mail packs it all into one headline: EXCLUSIVE: How Whitey Bulger’s politician brother still lives beside house where mobster buried three of his victims – and gets $200,000-a-year pension despite taking Fifth Amendment on gangster.

    Say no more.

  7. Geoffrey Britain:

Quite a few prosecutors don’t subscribe to it, either.

Prosecutors have to have enthusiasm for their jobs, and confidence. I would guess that for many of them, that means they have a conviction (pun intended) that any person they choose to prosecute must be guilty, and that they never make mistakes.

That may not have been Mueller’s sole motive, but I’m assuming it was part of it.

I have seen many prosecutors refuse to admit that they have the wrong man, even in cases (for example) in which the DNA evidence later exonerates the person. What do they do then? They switch to the theory that it was a gang rape, and the convicted person was one player among many.

If you want to see one of the worst examples of that mindset, take a look at this:

Maybe I’ll do a post about it. I thought I already had, but I can’t seem to find it so I guess I didn’t. There’s an excellent Frontline documentary here, a few years back, before they were pardoned. If you’ve never seen it, I recommend it highly.

  8. Events like this are a perfect example of why Americans should be paying attention to the dangerous traitors gunning for Trum’s head, rather than paying attention to people shortening Trum’s name.

You can play around online all you want, but the Deep State is just going to do whatever they and the Leftist alliance wants, and there’s nothing people can do about it… because they don’t even notice it.

I know it is easier to focus on perceived insults to Dear Leader, but this Dear Leader is getting his tendons cut by a thousand cuts. Might want to go help him instead of being distracted by inconsequential details.

  9. And it was either Mueller or Comey (or maybe both) that botched the anthrax investigation. A Creighton Law alum rolled the FBI for millions.

  10. So… I read a Brad Thor thriller last night where a CIA top guy was blackmailing the Federal Reserve Chairman, which led eventually to scads of dead people and bombs and things.

Up until last year, I would have thought that was just the product of a fertile imagination.

    Lol.

Wait until you enter my world, Aesop. Lots of interesting stuff here.

So, who else has been “playing” the FBI?…

The Deep State strategists view the FBI as a convenient bunch of expendable prostitutes and pawns.

Do not underestimate the power of the Leftist alliance.

Do not underestimate the power of Islamic Jihad.

Do not underestimate the power of the Deep State.

Or else Americans will regret it in the future. Not because I say so, but because the elite rulers exist. One crazy person you can ignore. An entire world full of traitors… you can try if that makes ya feel good.

  12. 2018+ Age of Conspiracies, just as I said it would be.

How do I even know these things…

On this topic, I am quite late. Trum is one of the old guard, he is part of the JFK craze I heard, as well as Alex Jones.

I completely skipped conspiracy theory 101. Now I’m making up time. It will be interesting to see how my analysis skills pair up with against all the disinformation and claptrap out there concerning these issues.

    Question All Authority!

  13. from the looks of the Bulger case, it looks like the FBI got “played”.

When you give your mob informant a heads up about a rival and then look away when the rival is murdered, you’re a player and not being played. A number of FBIs went to prison for a good long time over this.

  14. What a line of crap the MSM sold us all!

Up until a couple of years ago I had never heard of Comey’s name, much less Muller’s.

Then here came the MSM, when these two burst into the news, telling us about what honorable men, what “non-partisan,” “straight shooters,” what stellar, dedicated public servants they were–highly competent, honest, selfless, and with brilliant careers behind them.

Now, it turns out this was all a crock of shit, and that had the MSM reported honestly–and they had to know what their real backgrounds were–these would be the last people that should even be FBI agents, much less be in any position of authority in the FBI, leading the organization, or leading an investigation against a President.

  16. Sorry for the double posting. I was trying to avoid using a “naughty” word.

  17. According to the Boston Globe:

What involvement did Mueller have with Bulger? None.

There’s nothing linking Mueller to that case, according to several attorneys for the men, voluminous court records, and a former federal judge who presided over their wrongful imprisonment trial.

Was Mueller among the prosecutors who wrote letters to the Massachusetts parole board opposing the release of the four before evidence emerged that they had been framed? No

I first heard about this allegation while watching Sean Hannidy…who still thinks Seth Rich was killed by Hillary or something. A little googling at the time only bought up one Sara Carter, who seems like a low-level bozo.

I’m guessing this conspiracy will end up like Birtherism, Seth Rich, or Uranium One. But frankly I thought the idea that the cops could’ve framed the CP5 was absurd at the time. Turned out Sharpton, who I detest for what its worth, was correct.

So maybe the bozos pushing this theory will be vindicated too. I’m not betting that way, but it’s possible we have another J.Edgar Hoover on our hands. I report, you decide:
